The Teaching Kitchen is a series of programs, created by Chef Semsa Denizsel at Cooks Grove, aimed to bring together: food enthusiasts, culinary professionals, amateurs and travelers.

Our focus will always relate back to fresh ingredients, regional cuisine, seasonality, and traditional cooking techniques. Some of the Teaching Kitchen workshops will be led by Chef Semsa and others will be a collaboration with local experts who will host their programs at Cooks Grove.

The workshop prices include meals, all scheduled activities listed in the itinerary, guest accommodations + local transportation for daily excursions. For these multi-day programs, participants will be hosted in local hotels or traditional Turkish guest houses in the nearby town of Ayvalik or on the island of Cunda.

Half-day, full-day, or customized class programs can be created for guests who want a glimpse into daily life at Cooks Grove.

Airfare is not included in any of our programs, however, flights should be organized arriving/departing from the Balikesir Koca Seyit Airport (EDO) in Edremit, which is located 25 minutes from Cooks Grove.

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any unscheduled visits.
